On March 31, 2023, RIISQ invites you to a webinar entitled 'Managing risk on alluvial fans: the collaboration implemented by the Conseil de gouvernance de l'eau des bassins versants de la rivière Saint-François (COGESAF) in response to the torrential rains of 2015'.

Speakers: Catherine Frizzle (COGESAF)

Project Director at the Conseil de gouvernance de l'eau des bassins versants de la rivière St-François (COGESAF), Catherine Frizzle will present an action project in the alluvial fan watersheds, following the rainfall in 2015 that caused significant damage to infrastructure in Coaticook in the Eastern Townships.

The objective of this project is to work on vulnerabilities as well as on the hazard for a better response to torrential rains.

She will then talk about the realities of watershed organizations and the interesting linkages that can emerge from collaboration between such organizations and the research field.
