Citizen involvement, a solution against the invasion of filamentous algae

31 July 2022

The peace of mind of residents living along the shores of Lac du Gros-Ruisseau, located in Mont-Joli and Saint-Joseph-de-Lepage in the Lower St. Lawrence, is threatened by the massive presence of invasive algae in the river.

To this end, a three-year, $850,000 funding program has been undertaken by the city authorities to help riverside citizens carry out work on their septic systems. For more details on the Journal de Québec website ».
