Discovering shark species in the St. Lawrence River

The existence of sharks in the waters of the St. Lawrence is known to all. However, the public is not aware of the shark species that are present from the Upper Estuary to the Gulf, from the eastern tip of Île d'Orléans to Newfoundland. 
Jeffrey Gallant, Scientific Director of the St. Lawrence Shark Observatory (SRO), author of numerous research expeditions in the Northern Hemisphere, makes us understand that humanity would benefit from protecting this biodiversity, with more than 500 species of sharks living on the planet.
