French company Withings launched at the CES technology show in Las Vegas, the U-Scan device, a home urine lab that provides nutritional advice and can tell women where they are in their menstrual cycle.
The results collected by the device are transmitted through a cellular app, which then provides the user with analysis and recommendations on hydration and nutrition, or helps women track their ovulation. Thus, the device could be useful for women who are having trouble getting pregnant. The U-scan device measures only 9 cm in diameter and is placed right on the toilet bowl.
