Field of study: Hydrology and Remote sensing

Research Topic: Improved watershed scale estimation of snow water equivalent (SWE) using existing remotely sensed SWE products and field measurement data

Interests

  • I am enthusiastic about most aspect of water and the conveyance of the resource. I find it interesting the physical process of the hydro-logical cycle and the exchanges that occur i.e. évapotranspiration and sublimation. As well as man made retention units ability to withstand the forces of water i.e. dams, canals, distribution ways and turbines.
  • Another research interest of mine remote sensing. With improvement in earth observation instruments I find it facinating to explore the potential information that can be gained from this advancement.

Research Areas

Expertises

Previous Studies

  • For bachelors I studied Civil engineering at the University of Technology Jamaica, where I minored in construction engineering.
  • Thereafter I Completed My masters in the Netherlands at IHE-Delft water institute. The masters titled land and water development for food security focused on innovative agricultural practices and hydraulics. My thesis however incorporated remote sensing and its application for agriculture water management.
