CentrEau - a strategic alliance funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Nature and Technology is seeking a Scientific Director. The Scientific Director must be a regular research member of CentrEau. 

The tasks of the person in charge of the scientific direction are the following:  

• Chairs the Scientific Committee. As such, he or she supervises and facilitates exchanges on scientific aspects with the axis leaders;  
• Promotes, in consultation with the axis leaders, the networking between the research teams of the different institutions;  
• Coordinates the activities of the axis leaders and proposes development plans for each axis to the Management Committee;  
• Discusses the progress of each axis' projects with the General Management;  
• Takes initiatives to promote CentrEau's activities.  

The Scientific Director will be supported by CentrEau's management committee on an ongoing basis and by the Scientific Committee which he/she will chair. This position will allow him/her to be involved in a dynamic organization and to become more familiar with the needs of water research. This position also implies an important networking with all water stakeholders in Quebec.  

Plan to attend at least one CentrEau-related meeting per month, sometimes more. There is no salary for the person in charge of the scientific direction of CentrEau.
