At the Symposium on Water Management 2022 (Réseau Environnement) held on November 1 and 2, Drummondville earned a few stars for its good water management on its territory.
The Centre-du-Québec city was awarded a star in the Municipalities Water First Program of Excellence. This program "supports municipalities in their efforts to reduce water consumption".
For the Stormwater Management Excellence Program (PEXGEP), Drummondville was awarded two stars. The objective of this program is "to support municipalities in optimizing stormwater management to better protect receiving environments".
In all, 49 municipalities were rewarded at the 2022 Star Awards Ceremony.
