Summary: In its report on Water Conservation (June 2020), the Commissioner for Sustainable Development emphasizes the critical importance of knowledge for integrated water resource management. The presentation will focus on how knowledge about water is acquired through collaboration between the Ministère de l'Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques and the research sector in Quebec. The acquisition of knowledge and its integration into government decision-making will be illustrated with examples of initiatives put in place to respond to the new regime for managing water withdrawals in Quebec, which is in effect since 2014.

New series of weekly CentrEau webinars "all about water management". These short 20-minute presentations will be offered live every Thursday at 1 p.m. followed by a short discussion period. CentrEau professors and researchers, as well as guest speakers, will present their research work and its importance in a semi-popularized manner. Watch the previous webinars on our YouTube Channel!
